The Northern Express Youth Hockey Association is a non-profit organization that is in place to develop and teach the sport of hockey. We are a Tier II Travel Club placing teams in the Northern Illinois Hockey League in the fall season. We offer gold, silver and bronze skill level teams, in addition to A2 mite major and minor teams.
Our Spring program emphasizes skill development while competing in select tournaments. We also may place teams in a competitive Spring League if the opportunity exists.
We conduct a comprehensive conditioning camp in August to prepare your player for the September tryouts. We call this Xcamp, its starts August 15th. This camp is run by our entire professional coaching staff. We pride ourselves on providing quality instruction for your players and are continuously looking for ways to improve the development of your player.
The "Learn To Skate" program is a partnership between Express Hockey and the Park Ridge Park District. This is the first step in skating and skill development and the stepping stone towards travel hockey. The LTS program takes place on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings at the Oakton Ice Arena.
