Dan Silenzi
I have always loved the sport of hockey- I began playing as a child and continue to skate a few times a week. My coaching experience ranges from beginner instructional classes to high school league hockey and travel league midget. I have had the opportunity to coach both my son and my daughter in their youth hockey careers.
I moved to Express in 1999 and have been with the program since. After my son left Express to head to college, I decided to continue coaching youth hockey because I love the game, and love sharing the game with others. I believe that team sports give young men an opportunity to learn important life lessons- loyalty, teamwork, respect, and perseverance. While winning is always a positive, I strive to teach the game to my players in an environment that is fun.
I have been married to my wife, Beth, for 30 years. We have two adult children who are now 25 and 23. We enjoy watching Hawks games together and playing family pond hockey. I am proud to have my son, Dan, as well as two of my former players join me on the bench this year as Assistant Coaches.
