Jim currently lives in Park Ridge with his wife Debbie and four children: Tommy, Jimmy, Kristen and Joey. Debbie and Jim are wish granters for Make a Wish Foundation. In addition to hockey, he enjoys fishing and golf.
Jim began coaching in 1984 at Glenview where he played youth hockey. He remained there until 1994 and then moved to the Niles program where he coached thru 1999. Then Jim went on to coach at Express where he has been ever since. Jim has been involved at the Mite, Squirt, Peewee and Bantam levels. He has been part of two NIHL Championships, two Presidents Cup Banners and various other State and NIHL flags during his years at Express. From 2002-2006, Jim also coached at Maine South High School at the JV and Varsity level.
